The first ever charity bet double

Posted on by C Adey

The SFF podcast is in it’s fifth season, and throughout that time, we have put on a charity bet each episode and then donated the winnings (however small) at the end of the season. We have been very lucky over the last three seasons that McBookie have donated the £10 stake each week, and also allowed us two £10 bets; one of our choice and one first scorer bet in the lower leagues in Scotland. McBookie have been kind enough to continue their support into the fifth season of the podcast.

Last season, with McBookie’s help, and our flukey bets, we managed to donate £425 to Edinburgh Sick Kids.

We are only three episodes into this season, and only on our second bet, but the podcast team managed to win money on a win treble and first scorer bet. The treble was Dunfermline, Dundee and Aberdeen, and the first scorer bet was Faissal El-Bakhtaoui. Normally there is some trepidation on betting a team to win and a first scorer from that same team, but it worked out well. That’s £84.14, minus the two £10 stakes,  in the charity pot already. Well done to Krys, Laurie and John for the picks.
