Two Johns on the podcast, two Hartleys featuring in the dicussions for a variety of reasons. Oh and Krys is here as well.

After a week of Betfred Cup last week, there’s a full card of SPFL league fixtures to discuss. The breaking news of managerial change at Falkirk is discussed in the context of the wider competitive nature of the Championship, while League One and League Two have taken an early shape too.

There’s a brief look back at the fortunes of Scotland’s last two remaining European competitors as they both hope to progress to the group stages of the Europa League. Still a good chance they both could do that, so the thoughts are positive ahead of this week’s crucial second legs at Celtic Park and in Russia.

The Premiership review covers off a number of interesting topics, including questionable comments from the Motherwell captain, questionable tattoos from a Rangers goalscorer, questionable banners from the Celtic support, and questionable parentage of the referee at Easter Road.

Our best wishes go out to table topping Hearts manager Craig Levein who was taken to hospital.

There’s a look ahead to the Scotland fixtures in September as Alex McLeish names his squad that we hope will test themselves against Belgium before taking on Albania in the crucial Nations League match.

We finish with another look ahead to John’s charity match which now had more representation from former players of Celtic. More details can be found from John himself, just check out @jbleasdale81 on twitter.
