About

Scottish Football Forums was founded in 2009 and is the home of Scottish football banter. It used to consist of two main sections – forums and blogs. Then in 2011 we branched out into podcasts. Then later we dropped the forums so now it’s just a slightly confusing name but it’s too late to change it. The team has changed a few times over the years too, but here’s how we currently line up.

John Br
Current host, Aberdeen fan John has been involved with the podcast since the very first season. Episode eight to be specific, but it wasn’t until the third season that he became a regular. If you like the football and music specials, it’s John you need to thank. Often found at Auchinleck Talbot matches since they’re closer than Pittodrie and they win more trophies.

John Bl
Current host, Aberdeen fan John… no really, this isn’t a copy and paste error. John first appeared in the seventh episode of season six and quickly became a regular. More recently, John’s focus has been on the specials including throwbacks and driving more focus on women’s football. That book he’s holding in the picture is his own, Scotland’s Swedish Adventure, focusing of course on the polis-kissing CIS-thumping Scotland at Euro ’92.

Erin
Aberdeen fan Erin first appeared on her very own fan’s special, the twenty ninth episode of season ten. She returned later that season and became a regular in season eleven. If you’re a fan of Prosecco and eating pizza crust first, Erin will probably be your new best friend.

Josh
Irvine Meadow and Rangers fan Josh first appeared on the ninth episode of season eleven and became a regular later that same season. Josh hosted in season twelve for the first time and may well be the first host to swear in the introduction. Often spotted shirtless in the away end on tartan army duty, and afterwards when he’s lost the shirt entirely.

Scott J
The only person currently on the podcast who can claim to have been there from the very beginning, Scott joined SFF founder Craig and Laurie on the very first podcast. He didn’t become a regular until season ten though, but don’t let that put you off it wasn’t that bad a first podcast. He used to be a Rangers fan until 2012 when something happened apparently.

Scott M
Celtic fan Scott first appeared on his own guest special in episode forty eight of season ten, he then returned later that season and became a regular in season eleven. Scott might not be on every single episode, but his music definitely is given the intro and outro comes from his song, Whatever It Takes.

Vinny
Partick Thistle fan Vinny first appeared on episode fifty five of season eleven and immediately became a regular thereafter. You’ll often find him in and around the women’s game where it probably hurts less than being let down by his men’s team. Despite this, he loves Kris Doolan and his style of football more than life itself, allegedly.

Jeff
Dundee United fan Jeff first appeared on episode two of season eleven as part of the first podcast to feature fans of all twelve Premiership teams. Later that season he became a regular, which is good given his Dundee United team don’t always get to appear on Premiership podcasts. Author of Scotland’s Lost Clubs, a book focusing on clubs that are no longer in existence, it’s often a fascinating look into early Scottish football history.

Dave
First appeared on episode twenty three of season eleven, and returned later that season for another guest appearance. He’s been a regular since season twelve, Dave once played the game in the Juniors and more recently worked in club media at an SPFL club.

Donald
First appeared on episode twenty six of season ten and sporadically after that. Well it’s hard to find time to join the podcast when you’re busy watching the ninth tier of amateur tiddlywinks. Sure beats modern football, as Donald will tell you.

Charlie
One of the two newest member to the team, Hibernian fan Charlie joins as a regular in season thirteen’s latter half. First appearing on episode sixty nine of season eleven, Charlie has become a regular voice on the Premiership previews and reviews. He’s probably one of the people in this photo pulled from social media, you can try and guess which.

Laurie
Another of the newest members of the team, Kilmarnock fan Laurie also joins as a regular in the back end of season thirteen. First appearing on episode sixty of season twelve, Laurie’s, been something of an unofficial regular ever since. Well he does have a voice for radio after all. Yes I said voice, not face, be nice!

Krys
The man in the chair, Celtic fan Krys is another who has been involved since the first season. First appearing on episode eighteen, he became host from season three and is the only one to have put out a podcast which only featured him. Mostly found on throwback podcasts now, but works really hard behind the scenes editing and publishing and doing the general admin. Krys once claimed that if he ever left the podcast then Celtic would probably lose the league, however Krys finally decided to step back in season ten… and Celtic went on to lose the league.
